Imam al-Ghazali r a. was seen in a dream after his death and was asked,”What did God do with you? Which of your actions and works allowed you to enter paradise?”
Imam al-Ghazali replied, “None Of my actions and works granted me admission into paradise. Rather, I was writing one night when a fly landed on my pen. I realized that it was thirsty since there was moisture on the end of the quill. So I stopped writing and let it drink. It was through that one action that God forgave me.”
