Muslims Pay Tribute to Jewish Holocaust Victims, Pray Together at Auschwitz

Salaam and Greetings of Peace:

This is a story that should be shared far and wide, so please repost if you can. From the article:

Prominent Muslims joined Jews and Christians at the former Nazi death camp of Auschwitz on Tuesday, February 1st, in the gesture of interfaith solidarity designed to refute the deniers of the Holocaust such as Iran’s president.

About 200 dignitaries from across the Islamic world, from Israel, European countries and international organizations such as UNESCO took part in the visit, which included a tour of the site and prayers in Arabic, Yiddish, English and French.

Great article brother Irwing , many thanks Jazakallah!
Having read many things about these issues over the years. Holocaust victims must not be denied and be showed sympathy I absolutely agree, but there is a political aim and tendency in world media to bring this issue forward in movies, documenteries, magazines, books etc. When the compassion and emotions of the people are exploited by political aims, this alittle upsets me. This should not be a day of Jewish victims only as the Imam mentioned clearly.
I had written an article for the Holocaust day in past which is in my facebook account and can be read from the following link:

Quite true, brother GeribAN. The Holocaust was not only about Jews, though they were the majority of those killed by the Nazis, there were also gypsies, homosexuals, mental patients, cripples, poles, slavs, political prisoners of every occupied country, and many more. My parents were Holocaust survivors, and they have told me stories that I will not repeat here, but it should be a day for the world to remember.
