George Bernard Shaw meets Sufi Master Aleem Siddiqui al-Qaderi

April 30, 2009

Salaam and Greetings of Peace:

One of the most fascinating meetings in modern history took place almost 75 years ago when George Bernard Shaw, world famous intellectual and Nobel Prize winning Irish playwright, while on a trip to Kenya, Africa, stops in Mombasa and there meets Sufi Master Muhammad Abdul Aleem Siddiqui al-Qaderi. The transcription of their meeting is marvelous, and available from the Tanganyika Herald newspaper, dated May 3, 1935.
