The Wildness

I live in the wildness, in the openhearted

The hawk circles, but the crows will not

have it, chasing away both predator and prey

I live in the earthboned land, rock

strewn, built into walls that welcome

as well as warn of boundaries

I live in the wildness of open sky,

in the scent, touch, taste of

all that is, in the seeing beyond sight

I live in the wildness of your love,

who are hawk and crow, earthboned and

welcoming without walls or boundaries
