Speaking to the Heart

Salaam and Greetings of Peace:

“My dear heart, never think you are better than others,

Listen to their sorrows with compassion.

If you want peace, don’t harbor bad thoughts

Do not gossip and don’t teach what you do not know.”

– Rumi

Salaam Dear Sister Suroor and Brother Abdur Rahman:

Great words, yes. The path of love is in them, and a lesson for all who believe.

    Salaam brother Irving,

Another wise saying from Rumi. Purifying the inner heart is one of the hardest things. When we get angry or upset we may not say anything to the person’s face, but a lot of times we think bad thoughts in our hearts. And that is where the real challenge lies.

It’s good to read your blog again. Mashallah, it always makes me feel better and makes me encouraged when I visit your blog. I’ll be visiting more often now in the future.

    True insight to attain righteousness!
May Allah Ta’ala Bless the soul of everworthy Mevlana Rumi. Ameen

    Jazaak Allah Khair for sharing,

  6. lu says:

I bow to thy wisdom, brother!

  7. Irving says:

    Dear Brother Lulando:

This is Rumi’s wisdom, obtained through love, by the grace of God. I have no wisdom. I know nothing really, except what better men and women have said before me.

    Ya Haqq!
