The Kindness Campaign

Salaam and Greetings of Peace:

Our sister Maliha, she of the beautifully written stories and wisdom which can be found on her Lightness of Being blog, has begun a new project for Ramadan. It is a Kindness Campaign, and a blog in which we tell of random acts of kindness, toward our family, our friends, and toward total strangers. May Allah bless her noble efforts. The blog is called Senseless Acts of Beauty, but no act of beauty or kindness is senseless.

For those that would like to join her efforts to make Ramadan a month of kindness and charity, a month of fasting not only from food but from selfishness, please go to her blogs and contribute, inshallah.

Ramadan Mubarak!

May Allah bless all who love and struggle in His name.

Ya Haqq!

    Salamaat ya darvish;
    thanks for the “shout out” and reminder…You are right there is nothing senseless in beauty or kindness; but i liked that phrase; it has a certain poetic abandon to it.

    Kheir Inshaallah, as ever I am grateful to have your presence in our midst :)

  5. […] And since our philosopher and unfailing kind brother Darvish insightfully pointed out how kindness and beauty are never senseless we changed it to “When Beauty Speaks…” […]
