Salaam and Greetings of Peace:
In the joyous and loving spirit of Christmas, and to celebrate the birth of Jesus, or as he is know in Islam, Isa ibn Mariyam (pbuh), a poem by one of His sainted devotees.
You Are Christ’s Hands
Christ has no body now on Earth but yours,
No hands but yours,
No feet but yours,
Yours are the eyes
Through which look out
Christ’s compassion to the world;
Yours are the feet with which he is to go about
Doing Good.
Yours are the hands with which he is to bless
Humanity now.
Ya Haqq!
This is beautiful and applies not just to Christians, but to others looking to emulate the kind actions of Prophet Isa (PBUH).
salaam alaykum,mr.karchmar..
its such a inspiring poem. indeed every religion taught about compassion n humanity instead of hatred n war..
thank you,brother
In our being and in all our doing may our bodies be one with His.
Christmas blessings, dear brother, and all!
Such a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing.
May Jesus be the guide for all to spread light and love, amen.
Very Touching Irving, thank you for posting this reminder. Here is a poem from St Thomas Aquinas I read recently that echoes that tenderness that makes our hands here, His hands.
Dave.
The Christ said to us: “I have cut you from a garden I tend and set you in a vase for the world to see.
Soon you will return, for you glorious presence I miss.
My hands need to touch you again,
my divine senses and eyes require your soul’s beauty near.
Forgive me, my love, for the suffering our separation brought!
If I said I am in debt to you,
could you understand?
Salaam and Greetings of Peace:
Thank you all for the kind comments, and David, for the lovely Aquinas poem :) Jesus learned what we all can learn, that love is the greatest force for healing there is, and certainly the greatest of the uncountable names of God.
Ya Haqq!
There is only ONE .You may call It in many different names(God,Yehova,Allah , Buddha or others),but It is still THE SAME.
Peace to all humankind.
most certainly we are God/Allah/Jehovah’s HAND.”Little hands and fingers were not made to pinch and fight but to do good deeds of kindness and to do God’s will.”
Ya Haqq! from the Carmelites:
a Most Blessed Christmas to my Brothers and Sisters in the Word and in the Flesh leapt down from Heaven to make all One in Holy Love.
