Assalamu alaykum Brother,
I wrote a poem in memory of ramzan. Hope you like it.
Al-vida’
Its time to bid farewell
Everything looks blurred
How do you see clearly when your eyes are wet!
Companion of my nights
Carved out of gushing tears
Deep down, up to the debris of my repentance
I provided access to you
Shared the secrets of my being
Such abundance of mercy, benevolence
How miserly were my hands
Thirty nights and thirty days
Span our friendship
Record your witness of my sleepless nights of agony
You’re leaving, Listen!
Promise me you’ll be back.
Alaykum Salaam Brother Hanfi:
I do like your heartfelt and compassionate, longing poem
for Ramadan. Thank you so much for sharing it :)
