what a wonderful thought Brother..!
yeah. that was right
What if the thing we remove today is the knowledge of yesterday? Ya Latif!
Wasalam.
What an interesting sentence..
I add another sentence to this beautiful sentence:
“Meaning of knowledge in Quran is not particularly sciences like physics or sociology and it also does not mean religious studies. On the other hand, knowledge in Quran means man’s self-consciousness, understanding the truth, Being aware of the responsibility of human being and knowing the way of guidance and leadership.. ”
Dr Ali Shari’ati
Amen! Lao Tzu RULZ!!
What happens when we want both knowledge and wisdom?
:)
Salaam Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Thank you for the comments. Lao Tzu is indeed one of the wise sages of the world.
And Sophia, whose name means wisdom, it is possible to have both :) Gaining knowledge of what is important in life, aside from facts, is the first step. Then the mind lets go of the constant streams of worries and concerns, the hands let go of worldly things, and the heart cleaves to God, from which all wisdom comes; by whatever name it is called, whether God, Allah or the Tao.
Ya Haqq!
Such a simple statement, but it embodies such profound truths.
Letting go is the essence of spiritual growth. We let go and let go, and we grow and we grow. To conquer all external needs and desires, and learn to bear God’s unbearable bliss and delight! May God guide us all.
So beautiful,
It reminds me of a story about Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau…. They lived around the same time as one another and used to be friends….
One day Thoreau published his famous words “Simplify, Simplify, Simplify”.
And Emerson responded “One Simplify would have sufficed!”
;) Love to you blessed brother,
Maithri
Salaams Brother:
I throw something out every day, lol.
It gives me the illusion that I am in control.
Great words of wisdom from a great thinker.
