Al hamdu lillah, as someone who struggles with themselves via the pen, this interview is very encouraging. Ma sha Allah. May God strengthen your (writing) arm!

I used to love reading fantasy stories but had to stop when I could not find anything good anymore. For many years, I had to stick to books on religion or work matters. So you can imagine how much I really love Master of the Jinn. It has in it all the elements I enjoy reading in 1 book – fantasy, some suspense, religious facts, Sufi practices, and most of all, the Sufi teachings of love. I’ll probably reread it a few more times while waiting for the sequel.

I keep thinking about when I’m going to have time to read Master of the Jinn—I’m so backlogged with reading right now…sigh. But I have to get to it.
I must admit that I find a lot of similarities between how you described your novel and some vague ideas I had for my own next writing project, so it will be a real treat to read your tale.

Seeker94 (and Irving too), I know exactly what you mean. Now, though, I don’t have a problem with such things, as I see such things as ‘myth’ in the sense of providing possible explanations for things.
