With heaven My throne, and the earth My footstool, what house could you build Me, what place for Me to rest, when all these things were made by Me, and all belong to Me? But My eyes are drawn to the person of humbled and contrite spirit, who trembles at My word.
This is beautiful, and humbling indeed. It reminds me somewhat of Ayat al-Kursi, and similarities/connections like these that transcend our spiritual differences make me happy.
May God install in our heart the awe and make us ever humble.
Ameen to that.
So true and shows the power of God and the beauty of humility to God of those who are humble. May He make us all humble toward Him and His creation. Amen!
Ya Rabbi! I’ve always loved reading such things from the Hebrew Bible. In fact, it ws one of the things which drew me to Islam, as Islam has always accepted and validated the origin of the Torah and Gospel.
it reminds that the Awe of God is as much as a necessity as is the Love of God.
Without one, the other alone might not work for all individual.
May God install in our heart the awe and make us ever humble. Amen.
Salaam =)
