The Amazon Plog for Authors

Salaam and Greetings of Peace:

To all book authors who chance upon this, Amazon.com has a new feature on its website called a plog.  It is like a blog, in which authors can start a dialogue with their gentle readers. I like the idea of it, and recommend that all authors and budding writers, as well as interested readers of good books, take a look at it.

For an example of this new feature, click on the Amazon page for Master of the Jinn here.

I’m just going to have to order your book, darn it. I’ve been eyeballing it for quite a few months now…

    Dear Brother Irving

Finally two weeks ago, my sister sent me your book via a traveler to Tehran. All i can say is amazing – the part whereby Ornias describes the pight of the Jinn whereby they were cast out from Allah’s grace because of the most unforgivable sin- INGRATITUDE- brought tears rushing to my eyes, mind you- I am not the “emotional type” :) but I couldn’t help it as I thought of how ungrateful I had been and the saying whereby he said the people in hell are happier than in this world because in hell they are AWARE OF GOD and in this world they weren’t and there is nothing sweeter than the remembrance of GOD- ALLAH BLESS U! Last but not least, it was so nice that u intertwined the monothesistic religions together especially Judaism and Islam and how the Master says that we are all “people of the book , we share the same heritage”- my own sister is Jewish and it is such a shame that we have come to this day where people kill in the name of GOD- when we all worship the same , one and only living GOD, and we will all return to the ONE- and Judaism and Islam if people would take the time to investigate are so so similar- monothesistic religions- and many of the prophets who are spoken of by Allah in the Quran are Jewish- Moses, Aaron, Job, David, Soloman, etc….. It is time that we come back to the spiritual understanding that u are preaching to humanity to ONENESS, and all of us getting along and respecting each other and LOVING each other for ALLAH and worshipping only HU, not imams, prophets, priests, mullahs, rabbis- ONLY GOD IS WORTHY OF WORSHIP and we dont worship HU as he deserves- please excuse my long winded answer but I was truly MOVED by your book- and for your info. my sister who is jewish (converted after marrying her jewish husband 15 years ago) Loved the book as well!!! Take care and God Bless u for helping others to realize the beauty of worship and Love of our creator and nurturer and love of his creatures also because of HU.

    Salamaat,
awww…that’s a really nice comment. UmmHajar you have to get it..you don’t be dissapointed :)

plogs..interesting, but how can people who haven’t written a book utilize it?

  5. Irving says:

    Salaam Dear Sister Maliha:
Thank you for the kind words :) People who haven’t written a book can still go to Amazon and write comments to any author who has a plog. Anyone who has bought a book on Aamzon has an account, so they can sign in.

And when your book comes out, dear sister, i will be the first to buy it and make a comment, inshallah :) For those of you that don’t know, Maliha is a truly wonderufl writer. Go to her Lightness of Being blog and read her work.
