Indeed you are correct, Brother. If I have inadvertantly called myself a Sufi, I am in error. I am only struggling on the path.

May Allah bless you and forgive me.

Salaam Irving,

Mabrook on your blog. This is great; I was anxiously waiting to read your work. InshAllah, I’ll be buying your book sometime next month when I go home for the summer.

I was wondering… Can I share ‘The Song of Love’ with my students? I teach a short course on Andalusian poets mainly Ibn Arabi, Ibn Zaydun, Ibn Khafaja, and Ibn Farid and someone at work recently mentioned that we don’t read contemporary Sufi poets. I have some more ideas about your writing that I’ll email you about, InshAllah. I really liked The Song of Love. I have always been fascinated with the word “Be!” That is all He needs to say.

“God whispers “Be!” and infinity takes eternal flight”. Beautiful!
